Candidates who submitted applications to join Nigerian army can now check their names on the list. Invitation for screening exercise has been sent across to all applicant’s email who registered Nigerian army form 2023.

Screening interview is now being scheduled for successful candidates who found their names on Nigerian army list of shortlisted candidates 2023.

In this article, you will find the screening requirements, and the items you are required to come along with to the screening venue, on the date that is scheduled for your interview.
The screening exercise will be conducted within the state of origin of each applications, and same follows for all applicants across all geopolitical zones, and all the states in Nigeria. Information about these venues/centers meant for the screening exercise are contained in this article.
Nigerian army screening exercise is scheduled to commence from Monday 8th May, 2023, and will last through Sunday 21st May, 2023. Candidates should note that there shall be no written exams or computer based test during the screening interview. The Nigeria army wishes to inform shortlisted candidates, that they will not take responsibility for any casualties incurred during the screening exercise.
The use of phones, tablet, calculators or any other kind of electronic device is not allowed during the screening period until the exercise ends. Also, cancellations or any form of mutilations candidate’s credentials, will render such documents invalid and he/she may be disqualified for that. A serving personnel must come along with released letter of approval and genuine passes from their commanding officers. Successful candidates who fail to report on the stated date slated for their screening interview will forfeit their candidature.

Nigerian Army Screening Requirements for 2023 Shortlisted Candidates
Shortlisted candidates who found their name on the list must come with the following items to the screening venue in their state of origin.
- Original copies of your secondary school certificates (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE).
- A printed copy of your bank verification number (BVN), received from the bank.
- A valid birth certificate obtained from national population commission, government hospital, local government council, or a valid age declaration certificate.
- All the print outs from the recruitment portal during the online application, and must include guarantors form too.
- Result scratch card for NECO, WAEC, GCE, or NABTEB, depending on your certificate for the recruitment exercise.
- Four colored passport photograph.
- Two pairs of white (unmarked) vests/navy blue shorts.
- Two pairs of white canvas/trainers.
- Two white bed sheets/pillow cases.
- Trade test certificate, or city guild certificate.
- One blanket (grey or army green color).
- A set of cutlery.
- Casual wears.
- Female candidates should bring these items also one pair of black low heel cover shoes, two black skirts, a pair of trouser, and two black shorts or tight.
Shortlisted candidate for Short Service Commission (SSC), and Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) must report at Nigerian Defence Academy, Ribadu Cantonment, Kaduna with the following requirements;
- Original credentials that captures the candidates’s passport photograph(s), barked up by online print outs for them.
- A 5×7 colored photographs that captures the candidate wearing a suit, and standing with cap/hat on (Four copies)
- Two pairs each of round neck plain white vests and plain navy blue short.
- Two pairs of pure non-rubber white canvas/trainers.
- A pair of plain navy blue track suit.
- Four white bed sheets
- Four pillow cases.
- One blanket (grey or army green colour).
- A set of cutlery.
- One pair of national dress.
- One pair of black.
- 2 pairs of casual wears.
- One white shirt.
